GameCraft Brewing Wins Silver at 2025 World Beer Cup®
LAGUNA HILLS, CA — GameCraft Brewing is proud to announce that it has won a Silver Medal at the 2025 World Beer Cup® for Otaku® Hyperdry in the International-Style Lager category.
Known as “the Olympics of beer,” the World Beer Cup is considered by many to be the most prestigious beer competition in the world. The 2025 competition, held in conjunction with the Craft Brewers Conference® & BrewExpo America®, brought together more than 10,000 entries from breweries across the globe. Medals are awarded by the Brewers Association, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting small and independent American craft brewers.
Otaku® Hyperdry is a recent spin on GameCraft’s flagship rice lager, Otaku®. Brewed with precision and restraint in the Japanese tradition, this light lager is crisp, clean, and dry on the finish. Throughout Otaku® Hyperdry’s evolution, it has become a fan favorite for its subtle complexity and refreshing drinkability. The beer's distinctive flavor profile, light in body, bright in aroma, and smooth on the palate, stood out in a highly competitive category judged by expert international panels.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to receive this medal,” said Andrew Moy, Head Brewer at GameCraft Brewing. “Otaku® Hyperdry represents our dedication to expanding traditional techniques and honing in on what makes light beer so enjoyable and easy to drink. To be recognized on the world stage is a huge moment for us.”
The silver medal win places GameCraft Brewing in the spotlight among top lager producers in the nation and solidifies its reputation as a standout brewery in Orange County’s craft beer scene.
Otaku® Hyperdry is not available year-round on draft at GameCraft Brewing’s Anaheim and Laguna Hills locations, so be sure to grab a pint before it’s gone!
